Southern Harvest Inc.

Southern Harvest Inc. (SHI) is enthralled by the variety of things you can do with a banana. Its entrepreneurial adventure began with local farmers and the inspiration of “LUMAD.”

SHI is a manufacturer and exporter of Banana Chips that come in various thicknesses and cuts such as Whole Round, Crinkle Cut, Long Cut, Halves Cut, Quarter Cut, Broken Chips.

It is located in a 2,600 sq.m. area in Anflo Industrial Estate, an industrial special economic zone registered under Philippine Economic Zone Authority in Panabo City, Davao Del Norte, Philippines, a land that is recognized as the Philippines’ Banana Capital.

The abundance of natural wealth on the island led the SHI to diversify and develop high-quality items for the global market.

Production

It has a laboratory with high-end equipment. This is where our product undergoes strict monitoring through testing such as physical, chemical, and microbiological analysis for adherence to safety and quality standards. The plant can produce between 240 to 288 tons of banana chips per month.

OUR STORY

The indulgence to local farmers and “LUMAD” has inspired the founding of Southern Harvest, Inc. (SHI) through one of its owners Marissa S. Abella.

Southern Mindanao had grown greatly enriched by its ancestors, culture, and heritage, as local farmers and “LUMAD” formed wide contributions in the field of agriculture and farming.

In recognition of the work of their hands and valuing their efforts, it has opened the opportunity to reach out to the local communities and let them be actively involved.

This also urges us to establish long-term engagement with the local communities for sustainable assisted livelihood, preservation of culture, and community building.

We, the SHI, adhere to promote and continually uphold the best of the Filipino’s produce as we embrace a new milestone in the Banana Chips Industry in bridging local across the globe.

The abundance of banana and fertile soil added with our local farmers’ hard work and care, and “LUMAD” has produced the best harvest. Our edge is that the best harvest of green bananas originates in our locality. We take pride that our local supply is fresh, green, and healthy.
